TJ Shorts takes the helm at Valencia Basket
MEN'S TEAM
Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with American point guard TJ Shorts (1.75 m, Irvine, California, October 15, 1997, age 28), who holds a North Macedonian passport, for him to join our men’s team for the next two seasons, through June 30, 2028. The player arrives as a free agent after playing last season with Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, a team he parted ways with at the end of June. With the Greek team, he played his second season in the EuroLeague and was named MVP of the Play-in tournament prior to the quarterfinal series that pitted the “Greens” against Valencia Basket. In his first stint in Europe’s top competition, leading Paris Basketball, Shorts was named to the EuroLeague All-Star Five, averaging 19 points on 36.1% shooting from three-point range and leading the league with 7.3 assists for a rating of 22.8.
